About
Neuroendocrine cancer has personally impacted 2 ofour members.
Here is Rachel's story:
In 2023, I was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, a rare form of cancer that was discovered entirely by chance, and which took 18 months to diagnose. Sadly my cancer is incurable, but it is treatable, and since diagnosis I have undergone two major operations and am now preparing to start PRRT treatment.
Throughout it all, I have remained positive, hopeful and determined to live life to the full. One of my greatest sources of support has been singing with the wonderful ladies of Silver Lining, whose friendship and encouragement mean so much to me.
I am incredibly touched that Silver Lining has chosen Neuroendocrine Cancer UK as our charity this year. The charity provides vital support, information and advocacy for people affected by this often-overlooked cancer, and I am grateful for everything they do.
